Services

Development and Site Feasibility
We provide advice to identify the opportunities and risks for a concept development.
We can prepare options appraisals and consents strategies which consider site constraints and attributes, the types of consent required, and the feasibility of success.
We provide clear recommendations and stage by stage advice to enable informed commercial decisions on the prospects, cost and timescales for projects.

Planning Applications and Consents
We offer a full suite of planning services to support the preparation and management of applications for planning permission and other consents including listed building and conservation area consents, and Section 36 and 37 energy consents.
We advise on other services required including designers and environmental specialists. We proactively engage with the project team, the planning authority and key agencies to agree the form and content of an application and identify potential issues which may influence consent.
We have extensive experience in drafting planning statements which provide a comprehensive analysis of the merits of the proposal to assist the planning authority's assessment.

Post Submission Support and Monitoring
Planning permission and other development consents will usually have conditions attached to regulate the development or require further information to be approved.
We can provide management and coordination services for this stage of the project lifecycle and can also undertake monitoring if required to check that the construction and operational phases of development are compliant with the terms of the consent.

Policy and Development Plans
We have experience in working with public sector organisations to identify the regulatory and policy drivers which influence new plans and policies.
We support clients with considering the implications of emerging development plans, providing evidence to support strategic proposals for land allocation and making representations in the local development plan process.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement and STEM
Some projects require statutory pre-application public consultation, however in all cases we recognise the value in engaging meaningfully with those who will be affected by, or have an interest in a development proposal.
We provide advice on consultation strategies across all stages of the development process, and can organise and coordinate stakeholder engagement events and manage reporting and feedback. We have experience in leading and developing STEM engagement activities, to promote planning, sustainability and environment careers with young people.

Planning Appeals and Public Inquiries
We provide advice to guide you through the process for planning appeal or local review when necessary. This includes guidance on the prospects for success, the approach to the appeal and where appropriate representing you and preparing a written submission and/or providing evidence at a hearing or public local inquiry.
We also have significant experience in providing advice and representation to public sector bodies in public inquiries or on land compensation claims in Compulsory Purchase Orders.
