Scottish local authorities provide details of the vacant and derelict land within their area to the Scottish Government each year. This is published in the Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Survey, to record and analyse trends in the levels and re-use of land. A new interactive map has been published which will make it easier for people to search for and find details of vacant and derelict land which they are interested in - as a developer, community, charity or an individual. You can find it at the link below, and please get in touch for any advice or support on the re-use of any sites. Not all vacant sites are recorded in the register (these are usually sites within existing settlements) but it is a helpful tool designed to promote and facilitate the productive re-use of land.
